Il cortometraggio “Dansomaton”, prodotto da Associazione COORPI nell’ambito del progetto europeo di co-produzione mAPs – migrating artists project, sarà presentato in anteprima italiana a See You Sound International Music Film Festival, il 23 febbraio 2022, nell’ambito della sezione INTO THE GROOVE.
Dansomaton è uno dei 5 film di danza che fanno parte della collezione sul tema del POTERE del progetto mAPs e sarà presentato in questa occasione da Lucia Carolina De Rienzo. I registi saranno presenti in sala.

Ambientato in una notturna suburbia torinese, il cortometraggio prende il nome da un gioco basato su lotte tra androidi, telecomandati dai loro proprietari umani. Ogni sfida vinta, permette ai giocatori di personalizzare i propri DANSOMATON con la simulazione di coscienza, di emozioni e la possibilità di avere un vocabolario.
Richi è un giocatore principiante, un ragazzo angosciato dalla sua solitudine. L’incontro con Dedra, una logorroica giocatrice appassionata al limite dell’ossessione, è per Richi l’occasione per aggiornare la scheda del linguaggio al suo DANSOMATON, Prisma.
Richi prova a lungo a far nascere un dialogo, ma ogni tentativo sembra vano: Prisma non vuole parlare …
mAPs – migrating artists project
mAPs – migrating artists project è un progetto di cooperazione europea, con il sostegno del programma Europa Creativa 2019, fra cinque paesi mirato alla produzione, promozione e distribuzione di 5 cortometraggi di danza incentrati su tematiche di stringente rilevanza sociale ed attualità. Partner promotori di progetto oltre a COORPI sono: DAN.CIN.LAB (FR); MALAKTA (FI); TANZRAUSCHEN (DE) e MØZ (GR). Per questa prima edizione, la collezione di film mAPs si è concentrata sul tema del POTERE.

Set in a nocturnal Turin suburb, the short film takes its name from a game based on fights between androids, remote-controlled by their human owners. Each challenge won allows players to customise their DANSOMATONs with simulated consciousness, emotions and the possibility of a vocabulary.
Richi is a beginner player, a boy distressed by his loneliness. His meeting with Dedra, a logorrhoeic player who is passionate to the point of obsession, is an opportunity for Richi to update the language card of his DANSOMATON, Prisma.
Richi tries for a long time to establish a dialogue, but every attempt seems futile: Prisma doesn’t want to talk …
